The 204.91 million Americans who ate bagels last year can’t be wrong! Bagels are awesome! Here at The Heights, we’re giving you even more permission to indulge in these circular delights. National Bagelfest Day is coming up on July 26, so celebrate the day and support local businesses by eating at one of these bagel stores nearby:

A recent reviewer wrote, “Their bagel sandwiches are my favorite thing!!!!!” That’s five exclamation marks, folks! Any bagel shop that can get their patrons that sincerely excited about their menu deserves a visit from you! Reviewers recommend Bixby Joe’s everything and cheese bagels or their sprouts bagel sandwich with vegan cream cheese. Sounds creamy . . . errr, dreamy!

Cassidy’s Corner Cafe’s newest location is in Bixby Knolls! Touted as “best” in multiple reviews, we don’t think you’ll be disappointed by this way to celebrate National Bagelfest Day! Check out the Joe Special or Lox Bagel Sandwich. The jalapeño cream cheese is another must! Don’t be afraid to ask for the “fattest” bagel, either; “Ask and you shall receive,” according to one visitor. Sounds promising!

This nearby shop has “tons of bagel and menu options, even including some unexpected surprises like muffins, smoothies, and boba!” The Fifth Avenue Bagel Sandwich—complete with lox, cream cheese, tomato, red onion, and capers—seems to be one of the big winners on the menu! Baked fresh daily, their best selling bagel varieties are purportedly blueberry and salt, although cheddar jalapeño has a few shout-outs too. Don’t forget to ask for a stamp card to earn rewards!
