Heart of Christmas Food, Toy, and Book Donation Drive: This event takes place on Saturday, December 17, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Aaron Community Cultural Center in Los Angeles, CA. There will be musicians performing for children, and authors and storytellers reading their books. Consider volunteering for this event or donating. Help bring holiday cheer to children near you!

UNIVISION Toy Drive: This opportunity to share is much more than a simple toy drive. In addition to receiving a toy, children and families will have access to free haircuts, health screenings, and COVID vaccines. Providing these services to children in need isn’t easy; please consider donating your time or your money to this noble cause. Let’s spread some cheer this year!

Safe Celebration

Everyone loves a good candle this time of year, but thousands of fires are started each year because of candles. Exercise extreme caution when bringing candles into your apartment, especially your bedroom. Battery-powered candles can give the same festive experience without the added danger. Whatever you do, never leave your holiday candles unattended!

Christmas trees can be another fire hazard you need to be wary of. If you’ve brought a real Christmas tree into your apartment during this holiday season, make sure you keep it watered so it isn’t quite as dangerous. Keep all open flames, especially candles, away from the branches, and make sure you turn all lights off when you’re not at home. You never know when electrical issues might cause fires. Stay safe and enjoy the holidays!

Take a break this holiday season and enjoy the fun and festivities available near Signal Hill, CA. With activities, shows and performances, shopping, and volunteering opportunities everywhere, this season promises to be a festive one.

We’d love to see your holiday fun! If you decorate for the holidays or try out one of the activities above, post a photo on social media, tag us, and use #TisTheSeasonAtAMC.
